FAQ for: https://www.kesimpta.com/how-to-take-kesimpta

**Frequently Asked Questions**

**How often do I take KESIMPTA?**
You’ll take 1 dose per week for the first 3 weeks, skip the 4th week, then take your first monthly dose on week 5. After that, you’ll continue taking KESIMPTA once a month.

**Can I give myself KESIMPTA injections at home?**
Yes, KESIMPTA is the only B-cell treatment you can take yourself from the comfort of home. Your healthcare team will provide guidance on how to use the Sensoready® Pen, and you can get help with your first dose at your doctor’s office if you’re nervous.

**Do I need to take any medications before my KESIMPTA injection?**
No premedications are required, and there is no first dose observation needed. Only limited benefit of premedication with corticosteroids, antihistamines, or acetaminophen was seen in RMS clinical studies.

**Is there a training pen available to practice with before my first dose?**
Yes, a training pen is available to help you practice before using the actual auto-injector pen.

**How should I store KESIMPTA and prepare it for injection?**
KESIMPTA Sensoready® Pens must be refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F), but can be stored at room temperature below 30°C (86°F) for up to 7 days. Take the pen out of the refrigerator 15 to 30 minutes before injecting to allow it to reach room temperature.

**What if I miss a dose of KESIMPTA?**
The article recommends taking KESIMPTA on the same date every month to help you remember, but specific instructions for missed doses should be discussed with your healthcare provider.

**How will I know when the injection is complete?**
The pen has a built-in green progress indicator that stops moving when the injection is complete, plus 2 audible clicks—one when it starts and one when it’s almost done. Ensure the progress indicator fills the window and stops moving before removing the pen.

**Where do I inject KESIMPTA?**
You should choose and clean an injection site, then press the pen firmly against your skin at a 90-degree angle. The full Instructions for Use provide complete details on injection sites and rotation.
